All patchers are iron-ons, but some may require fabric glue for extra adhesive.
If you are ordering custom items, please remember, no 2 items are alike. We may add a different patch in place of what you see due to inventory. Nevertheless, it won't be a huge difference.

🧵 Fabric Compatibility Guide

Generally works well on: Cotton, denim, canvas, felt, fleece, and most cotton-blend fabrics. These materials tend to hold iron-on adhesive reliably.

May require extra adhesive or sewing: Synthetic fabrics such as polyester, nylon, spandex, and moisture-wicking athletic materials. Heat-sensitive or waterproof-coated fabrics may not bond securely — we recommend using fabric glue and/or a few anchor stitches for the best hold.

Not recommended without sewing: Leather, faux leather, very thin or sheer fabrics, and heavily textured knits. Iron-on adhesive may not grip these surfaces adequately on its own.

Note: We have not tested every fabric type. Always test on a small hidden area first if you're unsure. When in doubt, sewing the patch down is the most secure option.

🧢 Curved Surfaces (Hats & Caps)

Patches can be applied to the front panel of structured hats. For curved or unstructured surfaces, iron-on adhesion may be limited — securing with stitching is strongly recommended for a lasting bond.

🌡️ Application & Heat Settings

  1. Pre-heat your iron to a medium-high setting (no steam). Check your garment's care label and use the lower end of the range for synthetics or blends.
  2. Place the patch adhesive-side down on the fabric.
  3. Cover with a thin pressing cloth or parchment paper.
  4. Press firmly for 15–20 seconds. Do not slide the iron.
  5. Allow to cool completely before handling. Press from the inside of the garment for extra adhesion.

🧼 Washing & Care

  • Turn the garment inside out before washing.
  • Machine wash on a gentle/delicate cycle in cold water.
  • Avoid bleach and fabric softener near the patch area.
  • Tumble dry on low heat, or lay flat to dry for best longevity.
  • Do not dry-clean. Re-press or add a few stitches if edges begin to lift over time.

Because no two bundles are exactly alike and inventory varies, a similar patch may be substituted if a specific design is out of stock. Substitutions will be comparable in style and will not significantly change the overall look of your order.
